Collective Conversation Wall – Stewardship 2007

What hopes and dreams bring you to BUUF?

A beautiful non functioning sanctuary building

A place to grow community in every sense of the word.

A place for comfort and challenge, a liberal voice and force for action and justice in our reflexively retrograde community

To impact the world

To impact myself

A place to feel comfortable to share what you believe in support from one another

A welcoming and supportive community where I can explore truth, understanding, learning to live well and help others to do the same.

To met new people and become more certain about my belief

A green sanctuary with solar panels on the roof

A place to share ideas and grow spiritually

How does BUUF meet your needs as a religious community?

Being with others in every sense of the word

A community who cares

It gives hope for a better world

Renewing my spirit

It meets my religious needs by giving us the opportunity to choose our belief

BUUF is a place were people can question and where we know there are many paths to the truth and the divine

I can interact with people and help this place grow

It meets my religious needs by being one of the most extremely accepting, supportive, and inspirational places I know

Multiple sources of wisdom

By being a place committed to reaching out into to the larger world

By welcoming me and giving me a religious name and supporting me in my spiritual journey regardless my destination

Everyone is equal

Sunday morning worship services stimulate my thoughts and make me think about things differently this helps my religious journey

BUUF is basically all about what I believe and so it works

In what ways do you participate in the BUUF community?

What is your vision for BUUF and how would you contribute to make it a reality?

A beautiful wonderful open air non functional new sanctuary building. I would help design build and pay for it

It may be 5 years... many bills to pay first

Infrastructure first

My contribution will be as I can, it has a way of slaving one down

A fellowship that attracts the many like minded people in our community who don't know about uu-ism created by inspiring events and a significant social change project associated with BUUF I would serve on any related committees and pledge dollars to the social change project

To learn to love in many ways

A beautiful sanctuary yes but, I'd also love to see BUUF have a presence in the inner city perhaps with other religious liberals to do social justice and liberal religious outreach (urban garden city, linen district, downtown )

Service in committee teaching

Each UU will thoroughly know the 7 UU principles I emphasis that in small groups

BUUFis the first of several UU communities in the Treasure Valley

Getting our values out, classes, lectures opens to the public... participating in other forms

I would work with adult RE

We become a beacon in the community growing in strength size and influence our members are so inspired to be generous that the new sanctuary becomes a reality in the near future

BUUF is already a vision

A welcoming community that embraces diversity and intentionally builds connections with persons of color and different ethnicities, reach out in some meaningful way in Boise and with immigrants and refuge populations

Perhaps a special project under Adult RE

To see the facility vibrant with use, tell people about us, pledge, participate

An open group of growing individuals our light will be so bright that others will ask what church we belong to BUUF will expand

Creative, respectful, confident children I will be part of the village that takes responsibility for their care and education
