Life-long Learning ⇔ Spiritual Growth ⇔ Building Community
SPEAK FROM THE HEART
Listen With Your Whole Being
In true community, people know they are safe to speak their most
vulnerable truths straight from the heart – because in true community,
people listen with their whole being, without attempting to offer
advice, heal or convert others. Creating this type of community is the
goal of Creating Compassionate Community, two covenant groups that will
be open for new members in June. The groups study and practice
Compassionate Communication as taught by Marshall Rosenberg in his book
Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life.
The groups meet every other Thursday afternoon and evening respectively.
If there is enough interest, a third group may form. Childcare also may
be available. For more info, contact Lars Bergeson,
larsavatarisk@gmail.com; or Louise Jacobsen,

Ongoing Activities
BUUF YOGA
Mark Zimmerer
BUUF yoga meets every Wednesday evening from 5:45-6:45 in the North Wing.
This is a one hour gentle yoga asana (postures) class. Each class
includes a brief silent meditation, focus on the breath, and a sequence
of yoga poses to help loosen up and calm down. The main purpose of yoga
as I see it is to help us become more physically capable of feeling
gratitude and love and to help us see the world as it truly is. If you
have a mat bring it, if not, let me know and I'll bring a loaner. Cost
is a sliding scale of $5-10 per class, with accommodations for need.
Questions? Mark Zimmerer, 208 409-5292, or

MONDAY MEDITATION GROUP
Jay Wechselberger
Do you have an established meditation practice or are you thinking of
starting? The Monday evening meditation group here at BUUF may be just
the thing for you.
Meeting with a group at least once a week makes it much easier to
continue your practice at other times. And, if you are just starting,
the encouragement of a group is most helpful. You will find that over
time your practice will have many advantages: it has positive
influences on blood pressure and general health, lowers anxiety, and
sharpens your focus.
Join us every Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:00pm. We meet in the Fahs
room in the north wing. If you would like more information call Jay at
208 871-3765.
