·         BUUF Treasurer Item for discussion at August 2017 Board Meeting

Per my August Board Report:

The FY’16 $18,576 and FY’17 $6,980 operating budget surpluses, without using any Douglas Funds, could allow the Board to replenish a couple directed funds.

1. Building (& Grounds) Repair Reserve Fund, was partialized utilized to prepare for the possible Boise River flooding, i.e. to prevent repairs from being needed, and to cover equipment repair expenses that would have been covered by the Durable Equipment Reserve Fund, if it had not been depleted. Its balance was reduced from $10,000, where it’s sat for five years, to $6944. I propose re-funding this to the $10,000 level using $3056 from the FY17 budget surplus.

2. Durable Equipment Reserve Fund was depleted this year. It was funded from previous budget surpluses, and, essentially, had its peak value of $9320 five years ago. I propose re-funding this with the remaining FY17 budget surplus, approximately $3624. Final amount to be determined when the FY17 books are closed.
