Pay it Forward Fund and Food Pantry
BUUF FOOD PANTRY
The Boise Unitarian Universalist Fellowship operates a food pantry that is open to BUUF members, friends and the public. If you are in need of supplies from the pantry, it is open to the public during our regular office hours, Tuesday through Thursday, 10am-3pm.
The food pantry is regularly stocked with non-perishable items and body care supplies.
The following are items we currently need:
- Canned tuna, chicken and beef
- Gift cards to Fred Meyers and Winco ($25, $40, $50) to enable people to buy necessities that are not accessible with food stamps, i.e. diapers, fresh produce etc.
- Diapers – all sizes
PAY IT FORWARD FUND
The Rev. Elizabeth Greene Pay it Forward Fund (PIFF) was created approximately thirteen years ago to address a need among our own BUUF community for short-term emergency financial assistance. PIFF is the recipient of the social justice outreach plate offerings each year and is available to support BUUF members and friends through the generosity of those who donate. Over the years, funds have helped members and friends stay in their homes, pay for groceries, utilities, medical expenses, and other basic needs of living.
If you are in need of PIFF aid, please contact the Boise UU office (208-658-1710 or info@boiseuu.org). PIFF is administered by the Congregational Care Team (CCT), and you will be contacted by a member of the CCT in regards to your request. PIFF aid is only available to Boise UU members and friends at this time.
