Discussion Items
- Reopening review of BUUF’s physical spaces
The consensus of the Board was that the pandemic situation in Boise has not materially changed since the Board meeting in June; therefore, continue as-is for the foreseeable future with the building being closed except for essential services and workers/staff and only as needed.
The decision will be reviewed at each monthly Board meeting and timelines may be revised as deemed appropriate based on the state of the pandemic in our local community. The Board’s decision may differ from local, state, and/or federal guidelines and from what other places are doing due to the unique nature of BUUF’s physical spaces and the people that may use them; we are keeping our most vulnerable congregants in mind.
- PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) Loan Review
BUUF financial situation is still stable with regards to having funds to cover 8 – 10 weeks of payroll. The idea of using PPP funds to allow a shift of BUUF funds to help others in the community was vetted, however, this did not seem to support the spirit of the loan program. Additionally, this application includes a requirement of need.
- Virtual Board Retreat
The retreat will likely occur the second weekend in August. Scott and Rev. Sara will prepare the final agenda.
