Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity

Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity is June’s Plate Partner to continue our long-term relationship, and to help them build “green” houses. Habitat’s volunteers, including many from BUUF, build environmentally-friendly houses for families that could not otherwise afford them.   Habitat has been devoted to building simple, decent, and affordable housing and has addressed the issues of poverty housing all over the world. Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Homes are built using volunteer labor and are sold at no profit.
So dig deep. If you want your entire contribution to go to the Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity, just mark Social Justice on your check or mark an envelope Social Justice to direct your gift. Thank you for your generosity.
If you are interested in working in the Habitat Re-Store or working on a building a home this year, contact Wanda Jennings @362-7563 or desertfox4@cableone.net. The build this year will be Saturday, August 6.

The Social Justice Council wants to thank Melissa “Sasi” Chambers, once again, for the beautiful “tarpestry” she has created for Habitat for Humanity.  Please make a point to view the piece in the South entryway.  And check out her website: MelissaSasiChambers.com
