Welcome to the Boise UU Fellowship’s 2023 Auction

The Boise Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Fellowship (BUUF) is an inclusive, spiritually diverse, justice-seeking, religious community, with one great aim: to help people grow in love for neighbor, love for self, love for our community and the world, and love for the earth. We believe that the holy is known by many names and practices, and we honor each person’s unique religious path.

February 17 – Auction Preview site OPEN! Register for the Auction and Preview Items here.

February 19 – Join us at the Artists’ Reception and Art Show at BUUF.  Meet local artists and see their work in-person before you bid, not just on the computer screen. 30+ items include a stone totem, paintings, pieces by our very own Martin Wilke, Mark McGinnis, Dorothy Vanderpool, Ahley Newman and many others; jewelry, fabric arts and more. Refreshments provided. After BUUF Sunday Service @ 12:00 – 1:30 pm, BUUF Hospitality Suite.

February 24 – Auction Opens @ 9:00 am! Bid now and Bid often! Get your BUY IT NOW items before they’re all Sold Out!

March 3 – Online Auction Closes! Bidding ends Friday @ 6:30 pm. All winners will be notified via email.

March 4 – Auction Celebration Potluck @ 5:00 – 8:00 pm at BUUF Fellowship Hall. Featuring live music with Willison Roos! We will draw the winner of this years Auction Quilt (see more info below), LIVE at the Celebration. Space is limited. Reserve your seat today!

March 11 & 12 – Auction Item Pick-Up! Stop by the fellowship to collect all your winnings. Saturday between 12:00 – 3:00pm; or Sunday after worship until 12:30pm.

Announcing the 2023 Special Appeal : BUUF Goes Carbon Neutral

This year our Special Appeal is a commitment to “Imagine a New World” by reducing BUUF’s carbon impact on our world.  With your generous help, we would like to fund a multi-year plan to reach a 45% reduction in the carbon footprint of our buildings and grounds by 2030 and to become carbon neutral (or Net Zero) by 2050.  In the first year we will: 

• Establish a BUUF team to create the initial plan, in consultation with the congregation; 
• Complete the Cool Congregations carbon footprint calculator for our building and outdoor space;
• Coordinate with the UUA’s Green Sanctuary Program, the Idaho Chapter of the Interfaith Power and Light, Boise’s Climate Action Team and others;
• Educate and engage the congregation and the public by bringing in expert speakers about our carbon footprints and how to reduce them in order to cope with and adapt to global warming;
• Switch to clean electricity; and reduce BUUF emissions by replacing energy inefficient windows and doors, and replacing greenhouse gas emitting equipment with electric equivalents.

Auction 2023 Quilt Raffle: “Cascade“, featuring fair trade fabric designed by Aboriginal Artists

Our very own BUUF QUUilters have created this beautiful lap size quilt (63″ x 69″), boasting fair trade fabric designed by Aboriginal Artists. The many colorful blocks highlight the unique widlife of Australia. The back is as beautiful as the front, utilizing a delightful koala print. The quilt is suitable for all ages. Anyone would feel overjoyed to receive this original piece of art!

Raffle Tickets may be purchased in-person after Sunday worship in the hospitality suite beginning February 5th, or on the BUUF website here. All online ticket purchases will recieve their raffle tickets via mail, email, or text. Please specify your preferred delivery method in the payment note with appropriate contact info.

Online sales close Friday, March 3rd. The Raffle Drawing for this beautiful, one-of-a-kind, handmade keepsake will be held on Saturday, March 4th during our “Imagine a New World” Auction Celebration and Potluck.
