    • Carbon Neutral Fund: $12,980.98 (3/15/26 report)
    • The Board will use $10,000 to assist in upgrading all BUUF windows
    • Balance to be applied to Idaho Power Clean Energy surcharge
  • How do we advertise exceeding our 2030 greenhouse gases emissions?
    • A poster, pulpit announcements?
      • Ask for a a poster and note on the website
      • Announcement  at the Potluck this Sunday, and introduction of Poster
        • Cathy will look into this contacting Bob, Racheal and Annual GIving Drive
      • Can we work with Rev. Sara for an announcement during a service during Earth Week?
    • Jim created an announcement to be added to the BUUF Gazette next week
    • Potluck discussed last meeting not happening
  • Met the 2030 goal, what next?
    • Carbon footprint travel and household still to be met
    • Get out the Vote is a crucial Climate Action to change the Admin at the Nov. Vote.
    • Congregational footprint goal.
      • Create a survey to compare against the Ada county average
      • Education for household reductions
    • Household Adaptation and Resilience.
      • Low cost air filters and cooling systems
      • Grants for household insulation
    • Steps to reduce emissions
      • Show it can be done
      • Motivate people to change
      • Show them how to change
      • Measure your change to see effects
  • BUUF Energy Efficiency
    • Let the new windows be installed and then check for leaks or specific appliances 
  • BUUF carbon footprint
    • What is in the remaining 20% ?
    • How can it be dealt with?
  • Household Carbon Footprint
    • can we offer “tips & techniques” to save money and have added climate benefits
    • Have a monthly article in the a monthly email  “A Climate MInute”
      • Start with an introduction to the 5 areas for effective climate
      • Each month and an item in one or more of the 5 areas
      • Each climate meeting has the goal of put out  a climate minute for the month
      • Can’t be more than 3 paragraphs with the least graphics/picture.
    • April – Lisa will write up the 5 area and Jim will put in graphics
    • May – Food Area: 3 paragraphs of on Blue zones
    • June – Gardening: John & Jim (garden beds)

  • BUUF interest in carpooling

    • National meeting on March 5th to reconstitute IPL
