The BUUF Board is excited to announce the formation of the

Congregational & Financial Sustainability Task Force.

At its annual retreat in August of 2024, the BUUF Board of Directors created a Board Annual Vision for Ministry for the 2024-2025 Board Year.  That vision was summarized as follows:

Create a long-term, strategic, financial management framework using the lens of these guiding, essential questions:

How might we adapt to the changing demographics in church attendance (including how we nurture the next generation of church participants)?

How might we respond to demands for social justice work that also requires honest examination of privilege and power and leverage that privilege and power for collective liberation and the common good?

To this end, the BUUF Board approved the creation of a Task Force to research and analyze data related to this vision and to provide a report and recommendations for action to the Board. Read the full Task Force Charge by clicking below:

This task force embodies BUUF’s core values of love, justice, and collaboration, as we work together to forge a long-term strategy that ensures the sustainability of our beloved community for a long time to come. The Board is seeking passionate and qualified individuals to join us in this vital initiative!

The BUUF Board invites all members who are interested in being part of this important process to apply. Please review the Task Force charge above and the time commitment (July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026) required to make sure it is a good fit you, then complete the application.

The application deadline is midnight on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025.

The Board will review the applications and select a well-rounded team that we believe will be the best fit for the proposed work. Your involvement in this process will not only provide invaluable insights into our congregational and financial data, but also contribute to the nurturing of our shared mission and the wise stewardship of our resources. This is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact and help cultivate a thriving future for BUUF and its members. Don’t hesitate—join us in this rewarding journey towards collective growth and sustainability!

Your Board thanks you for considering being part of this important process!
