One in seven Idahoans are food insecure.  This means that at any time, your neighbors are skipping a meal or making choices about whether to buy food or pay for other necessities.  BUUF consistently and generously supports efforts to counter this “meal gap.” For example, this year we donated over $1000 to our Plate Partner, “Feed the Gap” for school children.

This summer we embark on another initiative to close the “meal gap.”  On the last Thursday of each month through September, BUUF will be hosting a meal for our neighbors and others who find it hard to stretch their pay checks or their benefits through the end of the month.  This is particularly important now that Idaho is transitioning to a staggered schedule for benefits payments.
